I presented a coupon for "Order 2 Entrees and get 50% off one when ordering 2 drinks." Waiter/ Cashier Esteban told me I could apply it to the senior meals or get $5 off or the regular 10% senior discount. After reading the coupon closely, I told Esteban that I wanted 50% offer my meal (We ordered 2 NY steaks at $19.95 each).
He said that the offer did not apply for the NY steak. I showed him the coupon, and the cook came out of the galley to tell me that, because the NY steak was one of the most evokes cuts, it did not apply for the discount. I told both of them that o if the coupon was not honored as it was stated, it was false advertising, and that i would contact the corporate office. At this time, the cook went back to the galley and Esteban decided to walk to another register and take care of new customers, which was just rude.
I waited about 5 minutes for Esteban to return and as I called his name, Waiter/Manager Pedro came out and after looking at the coupon stated that "they" (waiter/ cashier and cook) just did not know, and promptly issued me the discount. Pedro was very professional and respectful, and I appreciate his effort too make good on the coupon offer. Aside from this, our streaks tasted great, BUT they were 1/3 fat, which made them awful. My 88-year-old mother got so frustrated after working thru all that junk around her steak, she refused to eat it, so we took it home.
If you are going to charge $20 for a steak, your customers expect quality.
I can prove what I'm saying, I can send you pictures of all the gunk I had to cut off my steak. In short, eating at the Downey Sizzler was an awful experience.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. Offered me a complimentary steak dinner. This time I received a much improved and attentive service experience.
As it is, I have been to this Sizzler Central Festival Mall location a few times before and always came away less than satisfied.
Against my better judgement, I decided to go for dinner because of a promotion I received on LINE.
1.
No one greeted me at the door to receive or seat me. I had to wait to catch someone's attention to be attended to.
2. Asked about the promotion and was told that was the "starting price" and what I wanted was much higher. How am I supposed to know this if the promotions I receive on LINE are in Thai and I don't read Thai?
3.
Decided to stay and have dinner. Order was taken quickly and delivered quickly. I had some salad in the interim.
4. No accompaniments were delivered to the table even though I had asked for sauces - tomato sauce, chilli sauce, salt and pepper, etc.

Once the food was delivered, I was COMPLETELY ignored. No one came to check on things, refill my drink, ask if I needed anything. And I did need: sauces, salt and pepper, refill.
6. For about 10 minutes, I kept trying to catch someone's attention but no one bothered to look my way

Ironically, a kind dining guest saw my attempts and asked his waitress to come attend to me.
8. I was served with the items I needed and then neglected again.
9. The food: nothing to write home about - fries were no longer hot since I had been waiting for salt, pepper, sauces. The meat was less than medium rare, which is what I had asked for.
Bottom line: this visit confirmed for me why I don't go to Sizzler, Pattaya.
The service is non-existent, pathetic, and the servers when they do show up are in a bad mood and in a rush. The customer is not a priority.
This is totally opposite of what I experience when I dine at Sizzler restaurants in America.
I will be posting this review online. I will also be sharing my experience with my friends.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I had 3 old gift cards that I thought had balances on them.
There was no way to check the balances. Telephone number on line was worthless.
Come to be that only one card had a balance on it, and Sizzler said I needed a new card, so they reissued a new card and mailed it to me. Problem solved, though it took a long time.

My daughter has not heard anything regarding this issue. She went on their web site to vent the issue since it was she who paid for all 7 of our meals.
One of the meals were the unlimited shrimp with a steak. My daughter who had ordered the unlimited shrimp ask for a second serving but didn't finish it but asked for a to go plate to take the rest of her meal that she didn't finish also the other adults didn't finish their meals since they were filled up with salad and desert to they also asked for a go to meal box to take their left over meal but they only gave us two and not 4 that we requested. we were very humiliated when the manager came to us and accused of of taking food from the salad bar, we showed her our food that we were taking and she loudly said your not allowed to take anything from the salad bar and we were not to take any of the shrimp, she even had two servers standing by the salad bar. we could not understand since we paid for the food and only wanted to take our steak and potatoe, myself and another granddaugter had 3/4 of a hamburger with lots of fries and other daughter had her steak, mashed potatoe and shrimp left on our plates, which we even had problem to get a to go container.It's ashame when my daughter paid $192 for our meals and get humilated infront of other customers.
The manager needs more training in customer service and how to talk to customers without humillating them. I have been to other sizzler's and had never been such a bad experience like the one in merced. Please I would like to know how you handled this sad experience.

Went to sizzler in cedar city Utah! The cashier took our order which we were specific, we ordered the signature select with shrimp.
She didnt ask which shrimp. So we thought she knew which one we were talking about while in front of her. We got our food and there was no shrimp. We told the waitress and she blamed us 3x for ordering incorrectly that we need to specify that their menu is incorrect (how are we to know) prior to ordering.
She wanted to charge $5 more which was more than was listed on the menu. I asked for a refill on my root beer, she said shed get it but it never came. She refilled another table THREE TIMES and got them boxes, they sat long after us. I had to go and get our boxes from another waitress who was very sweet and asked if I had been helped!
She was very attentive to her customers, very sweet. I packed up our food, and we left. We will never be going back. Our sizzlers in California closed so we were ecstatic seeing Utah had sizzlers!
We didnt get her name because she didnt have her name tag visible. She had a piercing right between her eyes through the nose and seemed super nice until she came to our table. She was very nice to other customers which didnt make sense as we were very nice to her as well, we were wearing same clothes like everyone else and even said no to speaking to the manager to keep the peace. We really should have!
My mom has cancer and was just done and packed up and left.
We did not tip for the first time in our lives. We wanted to tip the nice other waitress but we didnt see her come out again.

Bringing my in-laws to have diner for their 46 anniversary. We had a very upsetting moment with one of the servers (Sylvia)thats the name they gave us ,we ask for the manager to see if the can give us coffee instead ice cream because the machine wasnt working.
A guys from the kitchen was very attentive and said that he can help, so our server started screaming like a maniac over him insulting and treating him was so loud that we can heard her all the way to our table, saying that he better pay those coffee. treated continued for about 15 minutes saying he better pay for the coffee before she leave or he will see what is going to happen to him.. was very disappointed, ugly and unprofessional from her. We went to have a good time over there and we ended sad for the guy at the kitchen, he was the only one who make our staying nice and contable until she started the argument.
Also the rice taste like roaches venom spray, very carful with it. Ice cream machine doesnt work and the management are rude. So , the only one who take a moment to make the customers stays happy the servers treated ugly?! Are you serious?!
We came to visit from United States and I never see something like this before.. I will never ever visit or spend my money in a place like this,will never recommended either..
